Frequently asked questions

Is the text really removed?
Yes. Every page is rasterised, which destroys the text layer, so content under the boxes cannot be recovered. The result is no longer searchable or selectable.
Does it also remove metadata?
Yes. The output is a brand-new document; title, author and other metadata are not carried over.
Can it find text on scanned pages?
No. Scans have no text layer, so Find returns nothing there; draw the boxes by hand instead.
