Unix time is seconds since 1970-01-01 UTC; JavaScript and many APIs use milliseconds. Values over 10 digits are treated as milliseconds.
What happens in 2038?
32-bit signed timestamps overflow on 19 January 2038; 64-bit systems are unaffected.
