02 — Questions
Frequently asked questions
Why does the tool take a moment to start?
The FFmpeg engine (about 33 MB) loads once on first use and is cached for instant starts later.
Is there a file-size limit?
No. Big files are read a piece at a time and results are written as they are made, so multi-GB videos work without running out of memory. Re-encoding a long video simply takes longer.
What is the difference between fast and precise?
Fast cuts on keyframes without re-encoding, finishing in seconds but possibly off by up to a second. Precise re-encodes for frame-exact cuts.
