Why does the tool take a moment to start?
The FFmpeg engine (about 33 MB) loads once on first use and is cached for instant starts later.
Is there a file-size limit?
No. Big files are read a piece at a time and results are written as they are made, so multi-GB videos work without running out of memory. Re-encoding a long video simply takes longer.
Will the audio quality drop?
MP3 re-encoding is lossy but transparent at 192 kbps and above. Choose "copy original" to keep the exact audio stream.
